Script Development Fund, Filmförderung Hamburg-Schleswig Holstein

Filmförderung Hamburg-Schleswig Holstein has granted funding for the script development of my first feature film “Saltmine”.

As my first scripted work, “Saltmine” embraces the nuances of an engaging and relevant work for cinema and art installations. I will work with a script consultant to develop this new work in 2021.

“Saltmine” will be produced with my newly established production company “Golddust by Ashadu“, which specialises in films of black culture and African themes. Many thanks to Filmförderung Hamburg-Schleswig Holstein, for their continued support and investment in my ideas.

Columbia Institute for Ideas and Imagination Fellow

At the start of 2021 I embark on a fellowship at Columbia University’s Institute for Ideas and Imagination, Paris.

This incredible opportunity provides the chance to develop a film script, as well as being part of an inspiring group of fellows in an inspiring city.

Over nine months I will develop a docu-fiction set in Senegal, with the goal of production once the fellowship ends.

Many thanks to the Institute – I very much look forward to new beginnings.
