“Brown Goods” premieres at Kunstverein in Hamburg

New short film “Brown Goods” proudly premieres at Kunstverein in  Hamburg on 14 February 2020, as part of the “ars viva” group show with the other prize winners Cemile Sahin and Thibaut Henz.

My first European production, “Brown Goods” gives insight into the activities of Emeka – a Nigerian migrant trading and exporting  second hand goods from Hamburg’s infamous Billstrasse to West African countries like Nigeria. The show also features a series of new sculptures made from recycled car parts. The exhibition runs until 17 May.

Many thanks to Filmförderung Hamburg Schleswig-Holstein and the Kulturkreis der deutschen Wirtschaft for supporting the production of this work.

Join me in conversation with Bettina Steinbrügge, Director of Kunstverein in Hamburg on the 26th February 2020, 7pm – Kunstverein in Hamburg.
