“Plateau” at Produzentengalerie Hamburg

In association with Neue Kunst in Hamburg, “Plateau” will exhibit at Produzentengalerie Hamburg – opening 28th October at 6.30pm – until 6th November 2021.

A fresh series of totemic sculptures made from found clothes and tin and clay sourced from Jos, accompanies the two channel film installation. Sieves used for processing raw tin – made from woven baskets, sand and tar – ready-mades brought from Jos, form the bases of the sculptures.

A supporting publication titled “Hitherto”,  offers an interview with Leonie Radine – Curator at Museum Ludwig, Köln, outlining Plateau’s ideation. The publication is released on the occasion of the Neue Kunst in Hamburg 2019-2021 travel grant, curated by Eva Birkenstock and published by Textem Verlag Hamburg.

“Plateau” is commissioned and produced by Fondazione In Between Art Film and co-produced by Golddust by Ashadu.
