About the

Karimah Ashadu (b. London 1985) is a British/Nigerian Artist. Her practice considers the moving image, as well as sculpture and performance.

She explores experimental modes of moving image capture aided by hand-crafted devices. The work is also concerned with perceptions of self and place.

Ashadu was one of the 2014 – 2016 participants of De Ateliers, Amsterdam, and has exhibited internationally including Centre d’Art Contemporain Genève, Geneva, Skulpturenmuseum, Marl, Bozar, Brussels and De Ateliers, Amsterdam.
