With the use of a ‘Camera Stick Mechanism’, the Artist captures moving image depicting a polo horse and its exercise route. The mechanism houses the camera, and allows it to be pointed low to offer a ground level perspective.

The mechanism is playfully modelled on a polo mallet, which the Northern Nigerian Hausa tribe use in polo matches.

The ‘Camera Stick Mechanism’ questions the importance of perspective in terms of building and shaping narrative. Ultimately the believability of the imagined narration via sub-titles, is aided by the enigmatic viewpoint of the camera. Together, they succeed in suggesting mortal tendencies within the horse.
