The 64th Flaherty Seminar THE NECESSARY IMAGE, is programmed by Kevin Jerome Everson and Greg de Cuir, Jr.
I am so excited to be a featured guest at this year’s Seminar, participating in a series of screenings, presentations and discussions between 16-22 June.
The Flaherty seminar is held at Colgate University, Hamilton, NY.
In conjunction with the 2018 Robert Flaherty Film Seminar and MoMA’s Modern Mondays, I will screen a selection of early moving-image work exploring intricate relationships between identity, place, and the construction of selfhood on Monday, June 25. Showing for the first time is “Sodoko (Power Man)”, 2018 – my most recent work.
The screening is followed by a conversation with Kevin Jerome Everson & Greg de Cuir Jr. and Sophie Cavoulacos, Assistant Curator, Department of Film.
Tickets on sale June 11.
