Steel frame sculptures, incorporating found materials and videos depicting everyday encounters with strangers on a beach in Dakar, Senegal.

Young men wash sheep in the sea, little boys play fight at shore, men process crude salt mined from the sea.

These sculptures create situations for the videos to be experienced, placing them in a framework of corporeal associations.

Material gestures are born from the moving image; these gestures can be considered as extensions of the videos.

Somehow fluid and contained, a subtle sense of tension arises in their layering.

And planted on wheels but never moving.
